The funny thing about life is that no matter how old I get and no matter what experiences and battles I succumb and survive- every now and then I do something that shocks me and makes feel like I am 16 years old.
16 going on 17.
Its crazy. Being 16.
But the truth is that its worth it.
It reminds me of how I have changed over the years and how infact I have not.
The funny thing about being a 16 year old is that you feel like your whole life is ahead of you. Whats in the past is a mere flicker compared to the blaze that awaits... and you are waiting.
Waiting at the brink of an adventure not sure about what lurks ahead.
But if the years have taught me anything then it is that the only thing that does happen while you wait is that you grow older. ..and if you keep waiting till you've already figured out what you need to know then you miss the point entirely.
So I've decided to not wait.
Instead I'm going to keep a steady pace, turn around and reach out my hand and pray damn hard that life catches up sooner or later.
