Around the corner

I wondered what was around the corner
It all seemed a bit too much

Not that I had great expectations

The world just seemed as such.

I wondered what was around the corner

I wondered if it would be bleak

Not that I knew what I wanted

The world just seemed out of reach

I wondered what was around the corner

I wondered if the world would end

And just when I had given up

I turned the corner- and found a friend.
