Path Breaking

I'm reading Paulo Coelho's "Like a Flowing River" at the moment.
A book thats opened many doors inside my mind and moved me beyond imagination.
Somewhere between SEEPZ and Powai, I read another interesting story.

Quoting(Though not word by word)
There is a discussion about how movies distort what has actually happened in a particular incident. Someone tells Paulo that the movie "Ten Commandements" has resulted in a very important lesson being lost. Everyone remembers Charlton Heston - and how he raises the stick and the sea parts for the children of God to walk across.
However, in actuality, God tells Moses to speak to the children and tell them to walk across the sea. They start walking and it is then that Moses raises his stick and the sea parts.
Courage comes first. The path appears later.

I found myself oddly humbled and inspired after reading this story.
Its true isnt it. Action precedes any other reaction.
We have to act out of our own will to initiate change.
It is only after, that the rocky waters of the world part for us to pass.
