Whats Time but a fair weather friend
The classic beginning to all ends
That makes his weight felt in the passing years
The loves that were - the shimmering tears
The dreams that once used to be
The smiles shared tenderly
The plans that were all laid out
The life I now have to live without
Time thats stretches even when he's fleeting
That seperates me and destiny from meeting
A clock ticking with each heart beat
A heaviness to otherwise fleet feet
Time that plays its twisted hand
and lets me know where I stand
That doesnt really change much at all
Except the changing leaves of fall
But if all it does is seduce the leaves
I guess I'll have to let him play
When the east wind blows and calls my name
Time will have to call it a day
