To those of us who celebrate festivals away from home
To those of us who swear by masala chai and starbucks with equal gusto
To those of us who celebrate Diwali , Id, Halloween,Thanksgiving and Christmas with equal ethusiasm
To those of us who play hindi music loudly while running on the treadmill,driving on the interstate or even at work on most days
To those of us who waiting for the super bowl as well as world cup
To those of us who will never call coke or pepsi " soda" ..that means something else for us ..lol!
To those of us who are asked - from where are you ? at least 50 times during a month and who dont blink before answering
Who answer questions they would never ask each other ..like why are you here ..why did you decide to come here ..will you ever move back ..what do your parents think about you being here ....will you stay forever ..do you have to marry an indian ...do you eat meat ..whats that thing on your forehead ..whats the wrap around outfit you wear ..how do you make curry ..are there elephants in your city
The joy and paradox of having and creating options is our story .
Stuck in time ..between ideals , goals, thoughts , aspirations , convictions , commitments and continents. Somewhere only we know.
Life has a big "IF" in it.
So take a deep breathe ..observe a moment.
Get busy living .

you're right.. somewhere only we know.. why we make these choices.. why give ourselves the options and then why do we debate..
