The Joyride Theory

Life is a Joyride .
Each one of us is at the Drivers seat , the road stretches and the miles are endless .
Sometimes we need to switch gears , refuel , and recharge .
Sometimes even the seemingly right path leads us nowhere .
Every once in a while - we take the wrong turns .
And more often than not - on one of those unwelcome diversions , we find something life changing .
I guess the good news is that U turns are permitted .
Sometimes we have the pleasure of having someone help us navigate a rough patch .
and theres always airbags incase of impacts and collisons whether they are front or side or emotional.
..Which makes it somewhat interesting - because if you get hit from close quarters while moving slowly - chances are the air bags wont deflate and the imapct is felt the worst .
In life too - tha hardest hits are the ones that happen over time , in slow motion and from very close quarters .
Sometimes it rains .. .But when the pouring tears subside ..your journey is that much better and you can see far clearly that before .
Its harder to make progress with excess baggage ..but you always need a spare tire or two as an emotional lifejacket.
The rearview mirror is like your conscience - reminding you of things and people you've left behind , battles you've crossed over and the roads you've travelled .
And like our past which often seems to get us ..objects in the rearview mirror
appear much closer than they really are .
Cars like most relationships wear out after an initial warranty period unless you have that special 10,000 year thing going . But even then you need to use them gently with a lot of care and trust.
Its hard to find a parking spot ( Refer : Parking Spot Theory :)
Music always makes the journey easier.
There really are no maps that are 100 percent accurate...and like life ..the map is only
half as good as the territory and our interpretation of it .
Sometimes we get to be reckless and live with the top down ..wheras at other times we need to have the hand brake on in case of an emotional skid .
Sometimes we get to be drivers and sometimes we get to be passengers .
Sometimes we drive our life ..at other times ..it drives us .
Sometimes we get to wave as cars drive past us on journeys we werent meant to go on ..with loves we werent meant to have and all we can do is stick our hand up and wave goodbye and smile
Sometimes we get to drive on one way streets with stop signs and it isnt fun at all .
..and when the wind is with us and a task full of gas ..Driving is the most intense pleasure of them all.

So Life , my friends ..is a Joyride .
Enjoy it - remember to look for oncoming traffic, drive only as fast
as your guardian angel flies and enjoy the drive .
