Sometimes it doesnt matter.
It doesnt matter how many friends you call, or how many glasses or wine you drink, or how many feel good movies you watch, how many friday nights you spend out toasting the world silly.
When its you versus a phone waiting to ring. Guess who wins. Its a no brainer.
You: zero Phone: Game, Set, Match.
The funny thing about love is that I keep telling myself that the time is not right.
This weekend - I realised that the time is never going to right.
So what do you do if you belong to a school of thought that says that love has to happen - you cant make it happen.
Its the simple things in life that we all crave for. Like having someone waiting when you come home late at night. The saga of fighting over a remote. Someone who makes saying goodbyes hard, who makes airports utterly painful or hopelessly happy depending on which way you are going. Who knows exactly how hot you like your tea. Who reads the sports section while you read the rest of the newspaper Who makes music more than music and loves dogs as much as you do.

The truth is that love never waits. It always moves on. So you've got to decide in the moment whether you want to do something about it. Holding on is easy. Letting go is also easy.
Figuring out what to do - is the hardest most exhausting thing of all.

I once read that Love is hard.
Like is much more important.
I think I'm going to have to learn to live with like.
