I turn 29 next week.

Its a pattern -that about this time of the year, I'll sit down and think about my life and the ups and the downs and the joys and the sorrows and try and do this weird summary bit that ofcourse never makes sense. But yet again like most things the process is more rewarding than the outcome itself.
So here are my 50 cents about growing a year older.
Well - there are years .,..and then there are some years. Honestly - if we think about it, the worst year is year number two. Because when you are one - and then suddenly you are two - its like you've aged twice as much in a single year !
So by that logic - if things hadnt progessively gotten better between then and now - I would be short on breath blowing candles next week ! Thank god for small mercies.
For me the new year is now. Not in Jaunary or April- but in November.
And this year in Hyderabad - I hope it rains, GNR style.
The funny thing about birthdays is that I'm not sure whether we celebrate them because one year got over or because a new one is approaching. There must be something to it.
Who wrote the song "Happy Birthday" ..if you think about it - can you calculate how many people might be singing it in how many different languages - just this very second.
Mr Friedman - do we have another flattener ?!
I;m glad that we dont grow wiser as we grow older.
We're all bottles of wine - aging. With all this drama inside us - about lineage and vintage and flavor and what not (some of us as we grow up - get full bodied too lol) - just waiting for that perfect moment to open up and celebrate.
But the trutth is - that its here !
I once read that today is the tomorrow that we all worried about yesterday !
And its now !
And it rocks !
So what are we waiting for ?!
