And the award goes to

1. Movie of the year -

This is a three way tie between Lage raho Munnabhai,Dor and Holiday.

Lage Raho Muunabhai for how spritited and hopeful it made me feel, Dor for its thought provoking and subtle story and Holiday for making me cry all those unshed tears that leant meaning to so many things I am yet trying to understand in my life.

2. Book for the year -

Shantaram all the way.
This is a book with a soul - that I love to read over and over again ..and it helps me find answers whenever I open it.It helped me find ground at a time when much was murky.
When he talks about doing a right thing for the wrong reason versus the wrong thing for the right reason - my whole world moved. I saw a lot of experience that I had with people in a new light and it helped me forgive some curve balls that life sent my way because even though they took place in probably an unfair and seemingly wrong manner ..they were for the right reason.

3. TV show of the year -

Greys Anatomy - Meredith Meredith ..are you inside my mind ..some of the things you say ...I've never felt closer or more similar to a sitcom character ..

4. Song of the year -

Suddenly I see

Has it ever happened to you that everyone thinks that your life should go one way ..that one decision will be the right one and it will change everything drastically for the better..? ..and then has it ever happened to you that you just dont believe it ..but somehow your feeble inner voice drowns out in light of todays fears and tomorrows quiet cheers..but then after a while ..when you are done with the fighting and the protesting ..when everyones given up on you and everything is quiet ..you really see what your struggle was really about and you know that it was worth it and you know what you want to be ..not in some loud latger than life manner that anyone will ever notice but you know it deep down ..why it means so much to you.Suddenly.

5. Restaurant of the year - Thai Wok - Hauz Khas Village ,Delhi

Like something from a painting that I would like to paint. Slow sunset, grey brown shadows of the Qutab Minar , the simmering delhi breeze that is almost laden with an uncanny excitement about the unknown and unseen ..and the story of what keeps the stars apart.

6. Food of the year -
