Its been quite a year so far.
The one between my last birthday and this fast approaching one.
On my last birthday – I might have been the saddest 31 year old around.
My grandmother passed away the day after my birthday battling a stroke in the hospital
I felt like the world was ending. 2009 had been an abysmal year on the personal front and things just got progressively worse as the year pushed along. Right until the end.
This year has been everything but that.
What a difference a year can make.
So here is looking back at the 31st year of my life on the eve of yet another cake and candles day.
This year – I am nothing but grateful for the journey that has brought me from where I was one year ago to here and now and the kind hand up in the sky that has guided me along.
I am optimistic, reflective and blessed at the new lessons, the new friends, new experiences and new chances.
